If you've ever had that thought in your head, congratulations, you're on the same page as millions of Instagram users.
Last week, photographer Tatiana Bruning's post went viral on social media. She created a petition demanding that Instagram be rolled back to its previous format and not be turned into TikTok. The publication gathered more than 2 million likes and even reached the Kardashian family. Kim and Kali also demanded to make Instagram a normal Instagram.
As a result, the head of the social network Adam Mosseri had to record a video appeal. However, he refused to comply with the protesters' demands. And the head of Meta Mark Zuckerberg stated that the recommended posts will become even more. While the share of recommended posts is now about 15%, by the end of 2023 it will reach 30%.
However, the snowball of users' anger was unstoppable. And the other day Instagram still gave up and rolled back some innovations, such as a full-screen feed. Also, the social network will temporarily reduce the number of recommended posts.
