I n 2015, Meta launched Amber Alert alerts on Facebook, a system developed in the U.S. with missing and exploited children search centers and crime-fighting agencies in various countries.
And on June 2, Adam Mosseri announced that these alerts will appear on Instagram as well.
When you're near where a child is missing, you'll get a notification that has all the important information: photos, a description, and the location of the abduction.
Right from Instagram, you'll be able to call law enforcement to let them know if you find the baby or anything that will help the search. The user can also share this alert to spread the word.
AMBER alerts will be available in 25 countries in the coming weeks.
