Two-factor authentication or blocking?
Two-factor authentication or blocking? That's the choice Facebook has put before its users. But not all.
Recently, journalists, political figures, and other media personalities began to receive alerts from the social network that they would be restricted from accessing their personal page if they did not connect the two-factor authentication.
It would seem that everyone uses such protection now. But Facebook decided to be more persistent and launched a whole program - Facebook Protect. Its essence is to secure those who are at risk of being hacked - human rights activists, journalists, and officials.
It is not yet clear by what criteria the social network will select accounts. However, it is already known that notifications about the need to connect the protection come even to unpopular users.
The enhanced protection program already has about 1 million participants.
But we would not advise you to wait for a forced notification from Facebook. It's better to take care of the safety of your page in advance and put two-factor authentication right now.
