Instagram has given up on IGTV. Now you can post long videos directly in the feed. And it is not limited to a minute.
A recent update allowed users to increase the length of videos up to an hour. If previously it was only possible to publish such a video through IGTV, now the function is available in the original application of the social network. And while uploading the video, you can also crop it, apply filters, mark people or geolocation.
By the way, the management of Instagram had high hopes for the IGTV service. It was supposed to become an analogue of YouTube. However, somehow it did not work, although the company annually reported on the record coverage of large videos.
Now the service will be renamed Instagram TV. It will be designed for users who go to Instagram to watch videos.
