23 June 2021 should be made a red day on the calendar!
What many Instagram users have been waiting for has finally happened. Music is now officially available in Russia! And Reels too.
Now every user can accompany its stories by a built-in player with hundreds of thousands of tracks. We've already explored the functionality of the new product upside down, so here's what options the "Music" sticker gives us in posts.
To add music to your posts, take or upload a photo or video and attach a music sticker. You will be prompted to search for any song and select the track you want - your track library will include both Russian and foreign songs.
Songs are displayed in stories in three formats: karaoke text, a sticker with the song title and cover, and an animated player sticker. You can choose what you prefer. By the way, the format of the karaoke text can be adapted to one's liking - users can change its style, colour, and add animation.
The appearance of music on Instagram means that the social network has solved the problem of copyright protection. It also means that Reels will soon be available in Russia.
UPD: While we were writing this post, our account was given access to Reels. Check it out for yourself and write in the comments. We'd like to know if the update has been rolled out to everyone.
