If you are tired of flipping through 50 stories with the same post from different people, you can rejoice: Instagram has removed the ability to repost posts in stories. So far, only for some users.
The function is still being tested, but it is likely that the ban will be extended to all users.
The management of the social network explains this innovation by the fact that some people do not like it when the same materials from the feed are published in stories. Moreover, "Stories" were originally created to publish content in real-time, and not to publish posts from the main feed there.
Those affected by this innovation have been warned. The application notified them with the following message:
Instagram said the feature is being tested “in a few selected regions” and said, “there is no plan at this stage to roll out this change more broadly.”
It is unclear how the social network determines which users from which regions will lose access to the option to repost from the feed-in History. But one thing is clear — a small business may lose a free method of promotion.
