A basket appeared on Instagram, almost like on a computer.
The new "Recently Deleted" section stores deleted content: photos, videos, stories and IGTV, and restores them. The content will be stored there for 30 days. And archived stories - no more than 24 hours.
Not everyone has this section yet. Check if you already have it. Go to the "Settings" menu, then "Account". Look for the "Recently Deleted" button.
Instagram is confident that this feature will be useful for protection against hacking. Especially if the attackers decide to remove the content.
They say that now, in order to permanently delete a photo or video, you will need to confirm that you are the owner of the account. This is done via sms to the number to which the account is linked, or via mail.
