Facebook and Instagram are trying to support all of us during the difficult period of the pandemic. In March, during the first wave of covid, we rolled out the ability to show posts to interlocutors in video chat mode. And now another similar update has arrived.
This is Co-Watching in Direct. Simply put, you can now watch videos with friends in video chat and watch their reactions.
The mode appeared in Facebook Messenger itself back in September. And now it has become available on Instagram. It seems that the function will be very useful during self-isolation, when you want to somehow spend time with friends.
To celebrate this launch, we partnered with renowned fitness trainer and author Melissa Alcantara to create a series of fitness videos so people can virtually work out with their friends and motivate each other to achieve their fitness goals, announced Facebook
To start sharing, make a video call and during a call press the media button in the lower right corner, then - Watch together. Now you can select any video from IGTV, as well as already watched or saved videos.
Whether the new thing has reached all users is not yet clear. But we can do our own experiment. Write the comments if you managed to try out the new feature.
