You edit the video to your favorite track, post it to Instagram... and it gets deleted! Or worse, the account will be blocked. This happens all over the place. It's all about copyright.
Each piece of music has its own author. And Instagram strictly monitors that its rights are not violated. Recently, the social network even shared recommendations for using the tracks.
Here they are:
If you have the rights to use the track (the fact that you bought it from iTunes does not count), try to appeal the deletion. Go to the details of the deleted post, click the button I have rights to this music, and I fully understand the consequences of breaking the rules. After that, the publication will be restored.
You can buy the right to use the track, for example, at audiojungle.net. Most of the tracks there cost around $19. If you do not have rights - which is most likely - you should not appeal the deletion. It is not known what the consequences will be. It is quite possible that it will come to litigation with the copyright holder.
Where, then, can you get background music? The easiest option is to take a track with a free distribution license. There are many services on the network that store music without copyright. Feel free to use it.
By the way, you can always use old music, which is in the public domain. Such songs become 70 years after the death of the performer.
It's hard to follow all of Instagram's guidelines for creators. But it is safe. For such violations, users are punished severely - the most difficult cases of blocking are related precisely to non-compliance with copyright.
